I Can Show You Better Than I Can Tell You
This story explores how Black history in Bridgeport, Connecticut continues to survive through the people and institutions committed to preserving it. Centered on the historic Little Liberia neighborhood one of the first free Black communities in the Northeast the piece highlights the legacy of the Freeman sisters, the work of the Bridgeport History Center, and the Ruby and Calvin Fletcher African-American History Museum. Through interviews with historians, community leaders, and archivists, the story shows how preserving artifacts, stories, and lived experiences helps protect history that has often been overlooked or erased. The piece underscores that Black history in Bridgeport is not confined to textbooks, but lives on through the people who actively choose to remember, document, and share it with future generations.

SPORTS BETTING
This package examines growing concerns around trust in sports betting amid recent NBA investigations. Reporting from inside a Bridgeport sports bar, I explore how fans and active gamblers are reacting to allegations of unusual betting activity and league oversight. The story incorporates findings from a national poll conducted by Sacred Heart University in partnership with Great Blue Research, highlighting divided public opinion on the integrity of professional sports and accountability within sports betting. Reported for Fairfield County News.

Tech Time
In this episode of Tech Time, I sit down with Professor Gregory Golda to walk through the basics of the Canon EOS RP mirrorless camera. Together, we break down the differences between DSLR and mirrorless systems, how the sensor works, and how to safely remove and reattach a camera lens. Professor Golda demonstrates form-factor features, the electronic viewfinder, the diopter adjustment, and best practices for handling the camera body. This video serves as an introductory, hands-on tutorial for new graduate students learning camera operation.

Open Channel
For this project, I produced and edited a new episode of Open Channel, our class’s variety-style show that features different genres and creative approaches to video storytelling. In this module, each student was responsible for producing two separate pieces:• a 2–3 minute evergreen video (a piece not tied to a specific date), and• a 1–2 minute creative video, with full freedom in style and format. My role involved concept development, filming, and full post-production editing, bringing together the visual tone, pacing, music, and narrative flow for the pieces I created. The final compilation reflects a blend of evergreen storytelling and experimental video work, expanding the show’s style from the previous module.
